Stop the lights: Chr***mas jumpers are already on sale in Penneys

FIRST, THERE WAS the opening of the Brown Thomas Christmas shop. Then there was the announcement that a company in Wicklow were hiring elves. Finally, there was sighting of selection boxes.

This was in August.

Now it seems that it’s Christmas jumper season, as a reader has sent us this image of a rake of Christmas jumper currently on sale in Penneys in Limerick City.

Shield your eyes or look away if you think you may find the images upsetting.

This isn’t the first sighting either. A quick glance through Twitter reveals several more, all equally distressing.

Not to sound like a broken record, but it’s September.
